C•CAP ‘24-’25 College Scholarships
Which Scholarships are Available?
C•CAP offers two types of scholarships:
C•CAP Postsecondary Institutional Scholarships – These come directly from the donating school to C-CAP. Scholarship values range from partial-tuition to full-tuition.
C•CAP Cash Scholarships – These come directly from C•CAP and C•CAP donors. Recipients of cash scholarships will open T. Rowe 529 accounts once they turn 18 and can be used for any higher-education expenses. Scholarship values begin at $1,000. 529 funds must be used for “qualified higher education expenses.” This includes tuition, mandatory fees, books, supplies, equipment required for enrollment, and room and board expenses for students enrolled half-time or more.
C•CAP National Post-Secondary Institutional Scholarships
The following scholarships are shared across six C-CAP locations (Arizona; Chicago; DC/MD region, Los Angeles; New York; Philadelphia). C-CAP senior competitors from all C-CAP locations may compete for the national scholarships listed below. The availability, values, and requirements of all scholarships are subject to change.
- Culinary Institute of America Full-Tuition Scholarship for the Bachelor’s (New York Campus)
○ Amount: 4 scholarships available, valued at an estimated $147,600 each. Covers tuition only at Culinary Institute of America New York Campus. ○ Use: Bachelor’s Degree: Culinary Arts, or Baking & Pastry Arts, or Hospitality Management
○ Requirement: 3.2 GPA or 87* cumulative average or top quarter of class, unweighted GPA. The CIA scholarship recipient may
only enroll for the Spring or Summer semester. Candidates will be interviewed by C-CAP leadership team.
- The Culinary Institute of New York at Monroe University Full-Tuition
Scholarship
Amount: 6 scholarships available, valued at an estimated $72,488 each Use: Associates Degree in Culinary Arts or Baking and Pastry Arts only and Bachelors in Hospitality
○ Requirement: 3.0 cumulative GPA or 85* cumulative average ○ Pre-Screen requirements: Students must have submitted an application to CINY at Monroe College by Feb 2025. Students must submit transcript, school attendance record, two (2) letters of recommendation – one from a culinary teacher and one from a guidance counselor/school
administrator. Students must meet the admissions criteria.
- The Culinary Institute of New York at Monroe University Partial-Tuition Scholarship
Amount: 10 scholarships available, valued at an estimated $37,000 each Use: Associates Degree in Culinary Arts or Baking and Pastry Arts only and Bachelors in Hospitality
○ Requirement: 3.0 cumulative GPA or 85* cumulative average
○ Pre-Screen requirements: Students must have submitted an application to CINY at Monroe College by Feb 2025. Students must submit transcript, school attendance record, two (2) letters of recommendation – one from a culinary teacher and one from a guidance counselor/school
administrator. Students must meet the admissions criteria.
○ Note: Open to any C-CAP location
- Institute of Culinary Education Full-Tuition Scholarship for Culinary Arts (LA campus)
○ Amount: 1 scholarship available, valued at approximately
$38,718.45
○ This scholarship covers the $85 application fee, tuition. Recipients will be responsible for other educational expenses.
○ Requirement: Must be able to begin program in September 2025 ○ Note: Priority given to Los Angeles competitors

○ Amount: 1 scholarship available, valued at approximately
$37,418.27
○ This scholarship covers the $85 application fee, tuition. Recipient will be responsible for other educational expenses.
○ Requirement: Must be able to begin program in September 2025 ○ Note: Priority given to Los Angeles competitors

○ Amount: 1 scholarship available, valued at approximately
$13,671.50
○ This scholarship covers the $85 application fee, tuition. Recipients will be responsible for other educational expenses.
○ Requirement: Must be able to begin program in September 2025 ○ Note: Priority given to Los Angeles competitors

○ Amount: 1 scholarship available, valued at approximately
$17,475.73
○ This scholarship covers the $85 application fee, tuition. Recipient will be responsible for other educational expenses.
○ Requirement: Must be able to begin program in September 2025
○ Note: Priority given to Los Angeles competitors

- Institute of Culinary Education Full-Tuition Scholarship for Diploma in Evening Schedule Pastry & Baking Arts (NY Campus)

- Institute of Culinary Education $25,000 Tuition Scholarship Towards any Diploma for Arizona Students Only
- Amount: 1 scholarship available, valued at approximately from $25,000 Requirement: Must be able to begin program in September 2025
- Note: Only open to AZ competitors for Any program in Pasadena or New York City
- Johnson & Wales University Full-Tuition Scholarship for the Bachelor’s Degree (Providence and Charlotte campuses)
○ Amount: 2 scholarships available, valued at an estimated $175,488 each ○ 1 scholarship to be used at the Providence, RI Campus, and 1 scholarship to be used at the Charlotte, NC campus
○ Use: Bachelor’s Degree
○ Requirement: 3.5 cumulative GPA or 90* cumulative average. Candidates will be interviewed by C-CAP leadership team.
- University of Denver Business School’s The Fritz Knoebel School of Hospitality Management
○ Amount: X scholarships, for merit-based scholarship between $20,000 to $35,000 per year. For merit and need-based scholarships up to $60,000+ per year.
○ Use: Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with a Hospitality Management Major.
○ Requirement: 3.65 cumulative GPA. C-CAP students who are admitted to DU and who come to Fritz Knoebel for their education can get substantial merit-based awards from both the University and Fritz Knoebel School. Those with demonstrated financial need will receive need-based funding.

Scholarship
○ Amount: 2 scholarships available, valued at $2,500.
○ Use: Certificate of Completion in Culinary Arts or Commercial Baking & Pastry Arts.
○ Will apply $750 to the recipient’s account in the first and second semester.

C•CAP Chicago Post-Secondary Institutional Scholarships
Only C-CAP Chicago senior competitors are eligible for the following scholarships:
- Joliet Junior College Tuition Assistance Scholarship
○ Amount: 1 scholarship available, valued at $1,000
○ Use: Associates Degree in Culinary Arts, will apply $500 to the recipient’s account in the first and second semester
○ Requirement: Must have applied and been accepted; and apply to
financial aid by April 1, 2025.
- Washburne Culinary & Hospitality Institute
○ Amount: 11, valued at $3000 each
○ Use: Certificate or Associates in Culinary Arts or Baking & Pastry Arts. Requirement: 2.5 cumulative GPA. Must put Washburne as 1st or 2nd Choice in FAFSA or if ineligible for FAFSA, must complete a Chicago qualified non-citizen form.

Only C-CAP New York senior competitors are eligible for the following scholarships:
- Dr. Patricia S. Bartholomew Scholarship at New York City College of Technology Tuition Assistance
○ Amount: 1 scholarship available, valued at $5,000, $625 per semester for up to 8 semesters.
○ Use: Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, may be used for tuition and non-tuition expenses
○ Requirement: 2.5 cumulative GPA or 80* cumulative average.
Students must meet CUNY College Readiness standards.
- Kingsborough Community College Tuition-Assistance Scholarship Amount: 1 scholarship valued at $2,000; up to $500 per year for non-tuition expenses over the course of two years
○ Use: Associates in Culinary Arts, can only be applied for non-tuition expenses Requirement: 2.5 cumulative GPA or 80* cumulative
average

Only C-CAP New York senior competitors are eligible for the following scholarships:

Only C-CAP Philadelphia final competitors are eligible for the following scholarships:

C•CAP Junior Scholarships
Only high school junior competitors are eligible for the following scholarships that may be subject to changes.
National Institutional Junior Scholarship
- Culinary Institute of New York at Monroe College Summer Boot Camp Scholarship
○ Amount: Up to 21, valued at $500 (At least two (2) scholarships per C-CAP location, with the exception of NY, where there are up to eight (8) scholarships available.)
○ Use: This covers the cost of the Monroe Boot Camp for four days and three nights to be held in summer 2025, where rising seniors are invited to attend a culinary boot camp..
Recipients will be provided room and board by Monroe College during the program. Recipients will go on a field trip the final day (location to be determined). Transportation from a designated Manhattan location at the beginning and end of the program will be provided.
○ Requirements: After being awarded the scholarship, the recipients must submit a completed application to C-CAP by the
Deadline set by C-CAP staff. Recipients must comply with the codes of conduct, rules, regulations, policies and procedures at Monroe College.
